Bake Cookies for our Cookie Walk!
Our annual Christmas Cookie Walk is our fun and simple way to raise money for Change the World RVA during the season of giving (and cookie eating!).

Send a Birthday Card
Anyone who can lick a stamp can join our legendary Birthday Card Brigade. Let our students know that you care about them and are wishing them success and happiness. One card is powerful -- imagine a huge pile of cards and what that message sends to a student! Read more here about this very fun program that anyone can participate in.
Cook dinner.
Change the world.
We ask volunteers -- individuals & groups -- to cook dinner for our afterschool program. A casserole, a salad, some bread & dessert -- perfect! We will reopen our classroom, lounge, and food pantry on Mondays from 5 - 9 pm; dinner will be served at 6:30 or so. If you would like to cook, serve & join us for dinner, we would love that! Please email us if you are interested in getting on our Dinner List.
Invite Us to Speak
We love to share our story! Invite us to speak to your group -- large or small. When possible, we try to bring a student with us so you can hear about our work from the people who matter most. Contact us about a speaker.
Make a Financial Contribution
We're all about the love, but the money enables us to provide quality programs and to help our students in meaningful ways. Your financial contributions help us do all kinds of things -- from stocking the "Happy Dance Basket" (pictured above) to helping with school fees and emergency housing. Give a Kid a Lift
We always say, "The magic happens in the car." If you've ever raised a teenager, you know that sometimes the best opportunity for good conversation is in the car. Our volunteers give students an occasional ride to a doctor's appointment, the dentist, a job interview, or to work and school. It's a terrific opportunity to get to know a student and to share your wisdom, kindness, and encouragement with them. We teach our kids that this is a great chance for them to grow their network of caring adults -- it's great fun for everyone and it really makes a huge difference to students who have limited transportation resources. We require background checks (we provide), the names of two references, and a face-to-face interview for each driver. To learn more, click here.
